Scarborough Movers for Homes, Condos and Pianos
A successful move starts with knowing how your belongings will leave one property and enter the next.

A successful move starts with knowing how your belongings will leave one property and enter the next. In Scarborough, that might mean coordinating an apartment elevator, bringing furniture through a bungalow entrance, or planning a piano move between two very different buildings.
Trusty Moving provides residential, office, piano and heavy-item moving services throughout Scarborough. We also handle long-distance relocations across Ontario and towards Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
With more than five years of experience and over 1,500 completed moves, we focus on professional service, punctuality and clear estimates with no hidden fees. Whether you are moving a few essential pieces or an entire household, tell us what the move involves so we can review the right approach.

Local Moving Throughout Scarborough
Our service area includes Agincourt, Malvern, Guildwood, West Hill, Scarborough Village, Woburn, Bendale, Highland Creek and other Scarborough neighbourhoods.
Your move may stay within the same community or take you to another part of Toronto or the GTA. Either way, the distance between properties is only one part of the job. The inventory, entrance routes and time available at each building also need attention.
When contacting us, explain the kind of property you are leaving and the kind you are moving into. A move from a house to a condo needs a different delivery plan from a move between two houses, even if the amount of furniture is similar.
For relocations beyond Scarborough, our Toronto moving services and North York moving services provide more information about those areas.
Apartment and Condo Moves: Plan Around Building Access
For an apartment or condo move, start with the building arrangements. Ask management whether there is a designated moving elevator, a loading entrance or a reserved time slot. Check both buildings if you are moving from one apartment to another.
The route between the vehicle and your unit matters too. A loading area may connect to a service corridor, a separate elevator or a long hallway. Share those details when requesting an estimate, especially if access involves more than one entrance.
Large furniture deserves a separate check. Measure items that may be difficult to turn, such as a sectional sofa, tall cabinet or wide desk. Compare their dimensions with the available door and elevator openings, and send photographs when the route is unclear.
Do not assume that an elevator reservation at pickup also leaves enough time for delivery. Tell us about both access windows so the schedule can be reviewed before the move is confirmed.
Moving From a House, Bungalow or Townhouse
A house move can involve several different routes out of the same property. Living-room furniture may leave through the front entrance, while basement belongings may need to pass through a separate door or an internal staircase.
For a bungalow, show us any steps between the entrance and the main floor, as well as the basement route if items are coming from downstairs. A short staircase with a sharp turn can require more planning than a longer, straight route.
For a townhouse, identify which floor each large item is on. A bedroom count alone does not explain how much carrying is involved or whether furniture has to turn through narrow landings.
Include garages, sheds and other storage spaces in your inventory. If something is staying with the property, mark it clearly. This helps keep the moving list accurate and avoids confusion when similar items are stored together.
Small Moves, Shared Homes and Basement Apartments
Moving one room or a small apartment still requires a complete list. A bed, desk, chair and several boxes may sound straightforward, but stairs, shared entrances and the position of the vehicle can change the work involved.
If you are leaving a shared home, identify your belongings before moving day. Label boxes and separate the furniture that belongs to you from items used by other residents. Let anyone sharing the entrance know when access will be needed.
For a basement apartment, send photos from outside the entrance all the way to the room containing the largest furniture. Include the staircase, ceiling clearance and any turn near the door.
At the destination, check whether the same furniture can reach its intended room. If you are unsure about a particular item, raise the question before the moving date rather than waiting until it arrives.
Piano and Grand Piano Moving in Scarborough
Piano transportation is a particular focus for Trusty Moving. We move upright pianos, baby grands and grand pianos, with access reviewed before confirming the job.
An instrument may be moving on its own, accompanying a household relocation or being transferred between properties with very different entrances. Tell us which situation applies and where the piano will be placed at the destination.
Photos should show the instrument and the complete route at both locations. For stairs, include the width, landing dimensions and any low overhead space. Photograph the turns as well as the straight sections.
If an elevator is involved, share the available opening and cabin dimensions. If the instrument is a grand or baby grand, include its approximate length and photographs showing the space around it.
We assess the information before confirming the proposed move. For a fuller explanation of the service, visit our piano moving page.
Moving Safes, Pool Tables and Appliances
Some belongings need more information than a standard furniture list provides. A safe, pool table or appliance should be identified separately, even when it is part of a larger move.
Send the dimensions and any known weight or model information. Explain whether the item is on the main floor, upstairs or in a basement. Photos of steps, landings and door openings help show the handling conditions.
For a pool table, include a view of the entire table and the surrounding room. For an appliance, show its current position and the route to the exit. For a safe, describe any obstacles between it and the entrance.
The work needed depends on the item and its access. Contact us to discuss preparation and transportation before assuming that every heavy item can follow the same route as ordinary household furniture.
Office and Commercial Relocations
An office move becomes easier to coordinate when the destination layout is decided in advance. Label desks, chairs and packed items by room or workstation, and keep a simple plan showing where they belong.
Include equipment and storage furniture in the inventory rather than listing only the number of employees. Identify anything unusually heavy or difficult to carry, and send photographs of large pieces.
If either property has a loading area, service elevator or restricted entrance, share the building instructions. Let us know about any deadline or access window that could affect the move.
Trusty Moving provides office and commercial moving services in Scarborough and across Toronto and the GTA. Contact us with the locations, inventory and preferred date so the requirements can be reviewed together.
Packing Support for Your Scarborough Move
You may want help packing the whole home, selected rooms or only belongings that are difficult to prepare. Tell us what support you need when requesting your estimate so the scope can be discussed clearly.
If you are packing yourself, label boxes with their destination room. Add a short description when it will help you find essential items later. Keep fragile contents clearly identified and avoid making boxes too heavy to handle comfortably.
Separate belongings that should remain with you, such as documents, medication, keys and everyday essentials. Put them somewhere they will not be confused with the boxes being moved.
Before closing the last boxes, check cupboards, drawers and storage areas against your inventory. If packing reveals more belongings than expected, update us so the move is planned around the complete list.
Long-Distance Moves From Scarborough
Trusty Moving handles long-distance relocations across Ontario and towards Quebec and Atlantic Canada, including New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
Contact us about routes to Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Moncton or Halifax. Each trip is reviewed for scheduling and route feasibility. Return transportation towards Toronto may also be possible, depending on timing and available arrangements.
For a long-distance request, explain how flexible your pickup and delivery dates are. Include building access restrictions at the destination, even if you have not moved into the property yet.
If your relocation includes a piano or other heavy item, provide its details with the initial request. Our long-distance moving service can be discussed together with the rest of your inventory.
Get an Estimate Based on Your Actual Move
Two Scarborough moves with the same number of rooms can require different amounts of work. One apartment may have direct loading access, while another involves stairs or a long route through the building.
Your estimate should reflect the belongings being transported, distance, access conditions, packing requirements and any piano or heavy-item handling. The preferred date and confirmed building arrangements are also relevant to planning.
Send a room-by-room list or clear photographs to help explain the inventory. Tell us about anything that changes after the initial discussion, such as extra furniture, a different destination or a newly confirmed elevator window.
We offer free estimates and do not publish a single tariff for every move. Call or send your details to discuss a clear quote with no hidden fees.
Weekend and Urgent Moving Requests
Trusty Moving operates Monday–Sunday, 8:00 AM–7:00 PM. You can contact us about a weekday or weekend move, including Sunday.
If your moving date is approaching quickly, send the locations, inventory and access details together. A complete request helps us review availability without first having to establish the basic requirements.
A specific moving date or arrival time must be confirmed. For an apartment or condo, also check that the building can accommodate the proposed date before relying on an elevator or loading reservation.
